Meridian Psychotherapy (EFT)

What is Meridian Psychotherapy (EFT)?

(EFT) is a form of healing that draws from various theories of alternative medicine including acupuncture, neuro-linguistic programming, energy medicine and Thought Field Therapy. Its roots come from traditional Chinese medicine and applied kinesiology.

Sometimes referred to as taping, EFT is an alternative treatment for both physical pain and emotional distress, combining the physical benefits of acupuncture with the cognitive benefits of talking therapy.

It’s an amazing tool to have at your disposal and can be adjusted and used for any situation which has the potential to cause distress or disturbance to your well being.

How does it work?

EFT works by encouraging the taper to focus on particular thought, emotion, feeling, sensation, or behavior while stimulating certain meridian pots on the body.

As you tap, the disruption in your energy system will begin to calm, helping to resolve and clear emotional and physical issues.

Your therapist will guide you through the tapping process using different techniques and methods most suitable to your personal situation.

After the session, your therapist will send you techniques to try at home so you can continue to ‘top’ the benefits of your session.
